| The long distance shots were taken in the 70's from the Empire State Building. During the 80's my friend Boris Bode took a picture of a boat yard on the Jersey side, which serendipitously had the WTC in the background. The detail shots, incorporating the sculpture in the plaza, were taken just as the buildings were being completed in the 60's. The picture of what I've called the "Shell" was shot a couple weeks after 9/11 when they would allow us to get close enough to the site. © Charles O. Slavens 2006 |
